There are two RPM programs in Texas that function in the same way, except for one major difference. Patients enrolled in the Texas RPM program cost the doctor or office $10 per month per patient, while patients in the Medicare RPM program cost $65 to $85 per month per patient. You might be curious as to why there is such a price disparity.
Since 2013, Texas has passed legislation that has been updated as recently as January 2023, stating that a licensed and certified healthcare agency (Choice Health RPM) will be reimbursed by Texas Medicaid for Home Telemonitoring Services when ordered by a physician. Additionally, physicians can bill their own CPT codes and receive payments from Medicare or Medicaid for their responsibilities.

How Texas RPM Works
Texas passed law so that every patient with Medicare/Medicaid or just Medicaid qualifies from RPM and the doctors DO NOT pay for software, devices, installing devices, managing inventory or staff to make sure patients stay compliant.

Doctor's Responsibilities - Taken Care of by Vital View's Care Coordinator
1. Reacting to Alert notifications sent by Choice Health’s Nurses.
2. Review readings monthly, including non-alerts.
3. Coordinate care for the patient, this could mean scheduling an office visit which means more money for you!
4. Doctor bill’s Medicare or Medicaid their own CPT codes for above services and is paid.
Billing and Financial Analysis
Vital View's at your discretion, can bill, collect and report on the financial health of your RPM program.
